How to Control Your Dreams

Have you ever had that experience where you were having this amazing dream and suddenly the alarm goes off? Darn it! The next night you go to bed hoping to have the same dream, or at least a continuation, don't you? Of course, we've all been there. Is it really possible to control your dream? Yes, it is possible, and we will take you step by step to show you how to control your dreams.

1. If you want to learn how to control your dreams, you need to first decide your intention. When you go to bed, close your eyes and try to program your brain towards the dream you want, or the question that you want answered. Tell your brain what you want to dream about. Dont stop thinking about it.

2. Concentrate on this issue or on your question. Keep your eyes closed and just think about your question or the dream that you want for a few minutes. What do you need in order to get the answer to this question? What do you need to happen in your life for this dream to happen? Think carefully about these things.

3. Picture yourself getting the answer. Imagine that it is you, in real life getting the answer to your question, in the future, down the road, tomorrow, or whenever. You need to visualize your answered question, or the dream that you desire, as if it is actually happening. This sounds harder than it looks. This is not any different than daydreaming. Daydream the process of your answered question, or the dream that you desire to have.

4. Now you want to visualize the answer that you have received. In this step it is important that you use your emotions to your fullest advantage. How does it FEEL to get the answer you were looking for? How does it FEEL to be experiencing this wonderful dream you are enjoying? Are you happy? Satisfied? Fulfilled? Make sure you not only visualize the events, but the feelings that are associated with them. Include as many details as possible. Here, you want to connect the emotions with the events so that your brain knows exactly how it will feel when you get what you want.

5. Lastly, if you really want to see how to control your dreams, clear your head. You may be close to sleep by now, but empty your mind of everything that you just thought of. No, thinking of these things while you drift off will not guarantee the dream you want. Clearing your head will re-boot your brain so that it can start itself back up again when you enter REM sleep. This is the setting you need.
